His Presence

Hiding in my war torn shell, 
Hoping somehow things will turn out well.
Alone, unknowing, yet trusting.  
Safe, Secure, Surrendered. 

Darkness all around, 
The echoes of the past resound.
Lost within my thoughts, 
Lyrics, painted wonders prevail. 
Poetic, Private, Promises. 

Found, blinded by the Truth, 
Mirrored images, reflections of my heart. 
Caught, suspended in His glory, 
Shattered, my prison falls apart.  
Dwarfed, Dancing, Dust. 

Anchored, seeing beauty, an eternal glance, 
Moments, faces, sights – flashes of my soul. 
Freedom, sweet release, 
My spirit takes control. 
Ravaged, Replete, Reborn. 

Bare, naked, standing alone, 
Purity clothes me. 
I am divinely warmed.  
Unafraid, Unashamed, Unharmed. 

Senses exploding, 
Heart imploding, 
My mind beholding -Instant understanding.  
Twirling, Transformed, Tranquility.  

Stillness engulfs me, 
Quiet blankets all sound.  
Peace, ecstasy and silent laughter, 
In His presence there is joy forever more.  

Gripping His grace, 
The outside presses in.  
Fighting against its pull, 
Unrelenting, I hold my breath.  
Wild, Whipped, Worn.  

Turning, I blow Him a loving kiss.  
Knowing that this moment, 
Will never fade, become amiss.  
Tethered by holiness,I become undone.  
Embraced, Enamored, Unending.  

He sees me, knows me and adores me.  
In His presence, my uniqueness shines.  
I become His beloved, the apple of His eye.  
Aware, Amazed, Alive.  

Timeless serenity, 
Our hearts beat in harmony.  
I am His, He is mine, 
Forever, for always, for all of time
